Free download enables healthcare organizations to view, validate, edit and transmit EDI transactions regardless of HL7 version used
ATLANTA — Jan. 18, 2012 —
Liaison Technologies, a global provider of secure cloud-based integration and data management services and solutions, announced today EDI Notepad 7.1 is now available and tailored for healthcare organizations.
The editing tool provides a platform to render, validate and edit electronic data interchange (EDI) transactions. This new version is compliant with recent and legacy data standards, including all versions of ANSI X12, EDIFACT, TRADACOMS, and now HL7.
“In today’s healthcare environment, you have numerous organizations all operating on different versions of HL7—something that won’t change any time soon,” said Gary Palgon, vice president of healthcare solutions, Liaison Technologies. “This can be a challenge when receiving transactions in HL7 v2 if you operate on the more current HL7 v3, which is not backwards compatible. It makes tools like this a must to operate efficiently.”
Delta, Liaison’s EDI data translator, is a complementary service to EDI Notepad, which has also been updated to support the range of HL7 v2 versions. This added functionality gives Liaison’s mapping and business workflow tools more flexibility within a healthcare setting by enhancing the efficiency of processing and generating HL7-compliant clinical messages through point-to-point mapping.
Available on the Liaison Technologies website in the free Express or Professional versions, there have been more than 80,000 downloads of EDI Notepad to date. For more information on EDI Notepad, please visit: www.liaison.com/products/integrate/edi/edi-notepad/compare-versions.
