Shana DeLuca is a director of product management at Liaison Technologies
If you hear the sound of enthusiastic cheering, it’s coming from Liaison. One of our favorite customers—Paul Stamas—is a finalist for the Technological Advancement Award, one of six SearchCIO-Midmarket.com 2012 IT Leadership Awards to be announced later this month. The Vice President of IT at Mohawk Fine Papers was selected for his innovative cloud strategy, which has resulted in a major return-on-investment for the mid-sized paper manufacturer. Stamas revised his cloud strategy to reap the benefits of cloud computing more quickly and save his company money in the process. Tapping into Liaison’s Cloud Services Brokerage model, Stamas took advantage of our enterprise-class integration platform at a fraction of the purchase cost of comparable on-premises middleware products.
Stamas also initiated a cloud strategy collaboration—between his company, Syracuse University and Liaison—to develop interoperability for Mohawk’s customers at lightning-fast speeds. He championed a cloud partner—that would be us—to establish digital hookups with hundreds of his customers, suppliers, business partners and cloud services providers with impressive results. For example, Mohawk was able to integrate connections to its ERP system and sell its product on Amazon.com within a highly expedited timeframe after choosing Liaison as its Cloud Services Brokerage firm—with minimal startup costs for the company. Stamas’ visionary cloud strategy saved the Cohoes, N.Y., company millions in operational costs and is demonstrating to the world the power of Liaison’s Cloud Services Brokerage.
