Through its efforts to improve healthcare quality across all points of care, the National Association for Healthcare Quality announced Oct. 14-20 as National Healthcare Quality Week. This celebratory week will not only raise public awareness about the impact of healthcare quality and patient safety, but also foster communication and collaboration with like-purposed professionals to advance and improve healthcare quality throughout the industry.
During National Healthcare Quality Week, we want to share with you how our organization is working to improve the quality of healthcare delivery. Our cloud-based data integration helps health systems connect, integrate, aggregate and harmonize patient information from disparate sources across the continuum of care.
A good analogy for what we do involves different kinds of pipes. Integrating diverse health IT systems is like being asked to connect garden hoses with concrete sewer pipes and PVC tubes to steel-threaded cylinders. Liaison Healthcare makes dissimilar “pipes” within health systems all fit together while still maintaining flexibility. As data from these different pipes are transformed into a usable format, the harmonization of information allows for true interoperability, helping providers make sense of data and use it to improve the quality and delivery of patient care.
With our cloud-based services, healthcare systems can build the foundation for secure, longitudinal and patient-centered medical records. Through a longitudinal patient record, data becomes actionable so that providers can leverage it for analytics and quality reporting. Ultimately, these methods help providers improve healthcare quality and deliver targeted patient care both now and in the future.
How is your organization helping celebrate National Healthcare Quality Week?
Until next time,
