When employees change positions or leave your practice, you need to ensure that their access to EMR-Link is disabled or removed immediately. This is critical for EMR-Link administrators to manage, as it protects your practice from a potential security breach and keeps EMR-Link accessible to authorized personnel only.
Here’s a tip: Add changing EMR-Link user access to your new employee and exiting employee checklist.
Managing EMR-Link users is simple. Managing EMR-Link Users provides instructions for managing EMR-Link user accounts, including adding, changing, or removing an account. Our EMR-Link Customer Support team is here to assist you as well.
Managing User Security
You can manage your EMR-Link security settings by going to the Settings > Security Tab. Here you can manage:
- Password expiration
- Password minimum length, case, and special character requirements
- Account lockout for failed login attempts
- Session timeout
It’s important to review these settings and verify you are meeting your practice’s security requirements for login and password management.
