“Are legacy integration technologies plotting your demise?” That’s the title of the webinar I’m hosting next week. A little dramatic, I know, and most definitely the result of binge watching an entire season of Game of Thrones over the holidays.
And although the topic of legacy integration technologies may not offer enough double-dealing to carry off a hit HBO drama, it’s still worthy of an hour of your time. After all, you don’t want to trust your biggest asset—data—to an aging integration solution any more than you would trust your secrets to the conniving Queen Regent of the Seven Kingdoms.
Older integration architectures such as enterprise service bus (ESB) were game changers in their time, but that time was before the widespread adoption of the cloud, or the explosion of big data. Fast-forward more than a decade and these legacy tools are now simply too unwieldy, resource intensive, and narrow minded to keep pace with the high demands—and even higher expectations—of today’s rapidly shifting data environment.
In next week’s webinar, I’ll unravel the plot of legacy integration tools to expose their weaknesses, which include:
- Inflexible data transformation capabilities
- Poor data visibility
- Single points of failure
- Long, error-prone development cycles
- Compliance as an afterthought
I’d say more, but I don’t want to give away the ending. Join my webinar, scheduled for Tuesday, February 9 @ 2pm EST to discover if any of these weaknesses could be the downfall of your organization.
