This week, I’m excited to welcome our CEO and president, Bob Renner, to Finland (Liaison’s EU headquarters). Bob is speaking at several healthcare IT events in the area and the timing couldn’t be more fitting as we gear up to bring our Liaison ALLOY Health™ platform to the EU. (See the press release.)
The location is fitting too. Finland has long been considered a pioneer in health IT. At the forefront of electronic health record (EHR) adoption and consolidation, Finland is also known for its other innovative national health IT initiatives such as ePrescription and the National Archive of Health Information (KanTa). Most recently, Finland is pushing the envelope again with ambitious programs (known as UNA and Isaacus) aimed at integrating the country’s health and social welfare IT systems and other health-related data to achieve better and more cost efficient healthcare.
Of course, Finland isn’t the only one to recognize the benefits of integrated and consolidated health data. Governments and organizations across Europe have realized that data holds the key to improved care, reduced costs, precision medicine, and new insights into population health. And through the cutting-edge capabilities of our ALLOY Health cloud platform, we’d like to be the technology partner that helps these entities continue on their paths of discovery.
As ALLOY Health’s customer base grows here in Finland and across the EU, I’m looking forward to seeing where its innovations take our healthcare and life sciences organizations. And like all good partnerships, I’m equally interested to see where Europe’s innovative health IT perspectives take ALLOY Health!
