nuBridges Protect Token Manager Passes Rigorous Security Assessment
ATLANTA — December 14, 2010 —
nuBridges, the secure eBusiness authority, announced today that its Format Preserving Tokenization™ and key management solutions have passed an application security review performed by Verizon Business.
nuBridges Protect™ Token Manager and nuBridges Protect Key Manager have been reviewed by Verizon Business as effective in safeguarding the security of vendor applications and sensitive data. nuBridges Protect Token Manager is the first tokenization solution to pass Verizon’s Application Security Review (ASR).
nuBridges engaged Verizon Business to conduct an application security review of its Format Preserving Tokenization™ and key management solutions to identify security weaknesses in the applications that could be exploited. After a months-long process, Verizon Business verified both nuBridges Protect Token Manager and nuBridges Protect Key Manager’s ability to secure confidential and sensitive information in an enterprise business environment.
“We chose Verizon to conduct this ASR because of its demonstrated expertise and leadership in the data security industry and global presence,” said Gary Palgon, nuBridges Vice President of Product Management. “Verizon’s experience with high-profile customer engagements, and highly insightful Data Breach Investigations and PCI Compliance Reports, is unsurpassed in the industry. Gaining third-party validation by a company of Verizon’s stature reinforces the security credentials of our products and is further testament to the success of our software development process that keeps security ‘top of mind’ every step of the way.”
The goal of the Verizon Application Security Review is to protect confidential data by identifying weaknesses in an application’s code, infrastructure and functional level controls. During its evaluation of nuBridges, Verizon Business performed a rigorous review that included a detailed security analysis of nuBridges’ applications, supporting infrastructure and security development life cycle.
“During our security review of nuBridges’ applications, we performed a rigorous assessment designed to help the company establish a robust application security foundation and baseline,” said Cindy Bellefeuille, director, Product Management and Marketing, Verizon Business. “As a data security solutions provider, nuBridges is responsible for protecting millions of credit card transactions and other sensitive information. Having passed our assessment, nuBridges can be more confident that its people, processes and procedures, as well as application infrastructure, have strong security safeguards in place.”
